We have been friends with Richard and his family for many years now, and so when he dropped us a line to say he was getting married and asked us to be their photographers, we were very quick to say yes. He and Kelly met while they worked together at The Stables - Beamish Hall, friends first before realising that they were ‘the one’ for each other. Richard’s a nice a fella as you could hope to meet, and Kelly is a stunner inside and out. Together, they make the perfect couple and a wonderful family of four with Richard’s son and their baby daughter.
Their wedding day in December at The Black Horse in Durham was wonderful. It was one of those gorgeous sunny winters days when the chill in the air makes your cheeks go pink, and the low sun makes you squint just a little bit. There was not a dry eye in the room as Kelly made her way down the aisle, she looked beautiful in her beaded fit and flare wedding gown, escorted by her lovely grandad. The sense of celebration after the ceremony lasted all day long, with hugs everywhere, dancing with the singing waiters, sparklers and a fabulous evening party. It was a joy to be there to photograph their memories.
It was great to work once again alongside our friends from One Digital Image who were capturing their day on video.
