Ellingham Hall - Kirsty and James

Who could not love a wedding in October? Yes, true, you are playing a little game of chance when it comes to the weather, but the colours, the gorgeous hues of greens, reds, golds and browns as the trees begin to change, it fills my heart with joy to see them. On a (mostly) fine and bright day like Kirsty and James’ wedding at Ellingham Hall, October is a photographers dream come true.

Ellingham Hall in Northumberland is a dream venue to start with, the classical 1920’s styling, mature grounds and elegant exterior go a long way to impress anyone fortunate enough to visit, but what really made this day special was Kirsty and James themselves. Two kind souls, genuine and warm and it was clear to see where they got it from, their parents and families welcomed us in and made us feel very much a part of the family. We are beyond thankful to you all.

What a stunning wedding theirs was, and an absolute joy to photograph. I could go on and on about how fantastic their day was, but why not let the photographs speak for themselves?

Matfen Hall - Kerry and Jake

Festoon lighting, hurricane lanterns a candle lit ceremony made for a wonderfully cosy atmosphere for Kerry and Jake's wedding at Matfen Hall last October.  They were married in the hall's stunning gothic great hall with it's huge sweeping staircase and huge feature fireplace.  The weather was kind to us and so the newlyweds were able to take advantage of the extensive grounds and woodlands for some pictures alone together before joining their guests for their wedding breakfast in the terrace rooms.  There were some great moments through out the day, lots of laughter and lots of fun, and it was a joy to capture it all for this fab couple.

Newton Hall - Rachel and Paul

Newton Hall nestled in the Northumberland countryside, bathed in glorious sunshine was the setting for Rachel and Paul's wedding at the end of last summer.  It was a wedding not only about two people becoming united as husband and wife, but also a day for their three children, to witness to celebrate and to be a part of their wonderful day.  It was such a joy to spend time with and photograph this warm hearted and fun couple and their beautiful family. 

Lumley Castle - Charlotte and Tom

Charlotte and Tom travelled all the way from Australia to realise their dream of being married in an English Castle.  They brought with them their parents, Charlotte's brother and her best friend, with a much larger party planned for a couple of weeks later back in Melbourne.  They had hoped and dreamed of snow to help paint the scene of their perfect English winter wedding and wonderfully they were not disappointed.

It was our honour to capture their very intimate wedding day and to get to know these eight amazing people.  Congratulations to you both and we with you every happiness for your future lives together.
