The Fig House and walled garden at Middleton Lodge is a photographer’s dream. Every time we come here, I am blown away by how beautiful this place is. The converted barn is a rustic haven and the gardens are a botanical paradise worthy of award-winning status. Together, they make the most beautiful backdrop for wedding photographs.
Arriving at Jade and Doug’s home on the morning of their July wedding, I could see exactly why they chose the Fig House for their wedding day. To say Jade is a keen gardener is an understatement, she has a true skill in cultivating and caring for plants. Their garden was filled with colour, and a large section had been fully dedicated to growing flowers that would decorate their aisle and wedding breakfast tables - and in situ, they could not have looked more perfect. From start to finish, their day was a dream to photograph. Even the quick downpour during their outdoor ceremony and a swift relocation indoors didn’t alter the mood of the day one bit.
Here is their day in our eyes.
