It was an absolute joy photographing this very special wedding at Woodhill Hall in Otterburn last summer. Katie and Adam are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. From the moment that we met, it was clear to see how much love they have for one another. I knew from the outset that I dearly wanted to shoot their wedding, and we were both delighted when they decided to book us.
A few months later we learned their amazing news that they were to become parents. Carefully, they together planned a very relaxed and informal wedding with outdoor ceremony, and the day went ahead without a hitch. Katie, the radiant bride and expectant mum looked incredible. Her tiny 20 week baby bump just showing. The look of love, joy and pride did not lift from Adam’s face the entire day. With all of their family and friends together in the same room, Adam, during the wedding speeches, announced the news that they were to have a daughter. The room erupted, and celebrations of not only their new marital status but also of their shared news lasted well into the night.
I am so happy to share these images with you, photographs of two beautiful people, about to begin the biggest adventure of their lives. Now, some months later, that adventure has already begun, they welcomed their little girl safely into the world at the beginning of December.
